Composition Cards was established in 2004 when friends and family commented on the stationery I was creating and giving away as gifts at the time. As I promoted the cards to various businesses I found there was indeed a good market for my handmade greeting cards.

A special event that inspired me to expand the business further was the wedding of our daughter Shannon to Jesse our new son-in-law. The ceremony took place in our garden with 175 guests in attendance. The stationery was handcrafted by us and the color and texture that we used reflected the outdoor theme of the gardens.

In the fall of 2006 I asked Felice Swanson to join me in making quality typeset wedding stationery. She has spent the last 15 years in the graphic design industry and brings a wealth of knowledge in the many graphic elements available.
